Gainly occupation and gainful employment, both are desirable. Mr Ignoramus Nobody retired from 'gainful employment' but in search of gainly occupation for many many years now. Internet is a place of variety reading and posting comments in interesting pages. Reading is a good hobby for educated person. Uneducated Oostad Boodhooram may not gain that much out of reading; he isn't book worm type. He will read some to fill the time of the day though. 14 hours a week may be allotted.
He is living upon his savings. Little savings of his thirty years 'gainful employment' which amounts less than hundredths of a million dollar have to be protected jealously from inflation. In India, like all other third world country, inflation is rampant, around 10% . One must invest and remain very alert and watchful. He has to read and remain updated on market and trends of businesses. Perhaps 21 hours a week is good for it.
Retired persons sleep more. 90 hours is spent for sleeping. He walks 14 hours to burn calorie and exercise. A week has 168 hours. 29 hours remains for toilet&diner and to spend for entertainments such as blogging and gossiping. Thus a new routine is forming for bachelor Boodhooram after four months of retirement.
