We landed at Dacca late and then after waiting at the belt found
luggage didn't arrive. 26/06/11
Many years back I flew with Southwest once. So far I can remember I
reported at the counter with a memorized number, they accepted the
luggage and wrote on a scrap paper something as boarding pass. As I
entered the aircraft double and single winged <badge> persons in
shorts and skirts, as I remember perhaps not wearing anything nakedly
uniform, together helped passengers to settle down in the cabin. I
must say it was pleasant experience.
Deccan Airline is pioneer in low cost flying in India.. I flew with
them once. They had to handle new flyers a lot. And did it good. Some
full service airlines passengers also migrated to low cost lines but
with varied problems for themselves and crews. Now it's settled; when
you fly low cost you expect nothing else than reaching in time alive!
So I only blamed myself for not carrying most in hand baggage keening
only security check hazards in checked in luggage. We are buying
minimum essentials. Low cost flying but highly expensive for us.
Dacca and (cycle)rickshaws come together. Office time road jamming
notches a rank higher than that of other Asian cities perhaps. Women
are less visible other than shopping areas.
After a day of sight seeing we drove in a car to Chittogang next day.
As expected it is drizzling often. Sun is invisible for many days.
Today 29/06/2011 morning 5:23a.m, it's raining we will go to
Rangamati. Many Hindu women is observed in Chittogang city.
My roommate is an old Tarun. I've traveled to Rajosthan with him
twenty years back. But we meet every day, we work in same section. My
observation is he is becoming his descriptions of his father.
Ghosh couple, l shall write later. This tour is being conducted by m/s
Titly. Aninda and Rupa, partner, are chharidars! But perhaps we are
their first customers for Bangladesh tour. Perhaps that's why Tushhar
came along with them. Tushar can sing variety of Bengali folk songs of
greater Bengal. We heard that Rupa can sing too. On 29/06/11 rain
abstained this afternoon as we reached Rangamati!
Today is 01/07/11, we are in Coxesbazaar we stayed here two nights and
we had memorable lunch and dinners.
We are in Dhaka now, 3/7/11 8:12A.M. Dhaka Bandh, we Bengalee's are
proud to introduce this word in international world vocabulary. We are
predominately lazy people. We try to stop work under any pretext,
although we're aware that we suffered a lot for loss of work culture.
Same day 16:30hrs we found the city is functioning with limited
effect. Only number of armed police is high.
Ghosh couple sing well. Their son and daughter and in laws called
often. Ghosh couple, Naredra Nathan and can be said as successful
self made family. They live in Asansol.
Today 4/7/11 is last day for me in Bangladesh. Tomorrow again Bandh
for 48 hours. Typically Bengalee culture! Carry on my friends. Ruin
whatever is left.
After collecting my dumped luggage at Dhaka Airport (a big name) now i
am safe and sound in Kolkata. 5/07/11
